Euro Truck Simulator 2 Enables Us to Deliver COVID-19 Vaccine

An event has just appeared in Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator, in which the players will be able to transport an extremely valuable and sensitive cargo: COVID-19 vaccine.

All players who enjoy relaxing long-distance travels behind the wheel of a multi-ton road cruiser have just been given an incentive to sit down to Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator for another couple of hours. This time, the special cargo you'll have to deliver intact is a shipment of COVID-19 vaccine - a chance to end a global pandemic, which apparently also continues in the world of simulators from SCS Software.

This truck carries hope.

The rules of the #HaulingHope event, which will end on February 8, are simple - our goal will be to deliver at least 7 intact shipments of COVID-19 vaccine in any area. As the goods are particularly vulnerable to damage, a level 1 Fragile Skill will be required to transport them. The contract that enables us to participate in the event is an external one, available to those with a profile on the World of Trucks website connected to Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator.

As a reward for completing the task, we will receive an achievement on our World of Trucks profile and a special tag for our truck to prove our participation in the event.

This tag will remind us that we contributed to ending the pandemic.

As the developers explain, the #HaulingHope event is intended to draw attention to the hard work of many people, required to create and globally distribute hundreds of millions of doses of COVID-19 vaccine. This is not the first time SCS Software has referenced the pandemic in its simulator - a year ago in March, the #TruckAtHome event was launched in Euro Truck Simulator 2, referring to the #StayAtHome campaign.
