Oculus company announced that CCP Games’ virtual reality space flight simulator EVE: Valkyrie will be bundled with all Oculus Rift pre-orders. From what we’ve heard before, the long-awaited customer version of the VR headset should become available in the first quarter of 2016 at the price of about $350. The gameplay mechanics of the multiplayer dogfighting game from EVE Online creators perfectly fits the conceptc of virtual reality. Palmer Luckey, the inventor of Oculus, said:
“EVE: Valkyrie is one of the most anticipated virtual reality games, and one of the first true VR games to go into development. It perfectly captures the promise of immersive gaming, shooting you into a sci-fi adventure as you pilot a spaceship in search of combat. Battling your friends (and enemies) in multiplayer space dogfights is the ultimate VR thrill, and we’re excited to partner with CCP to bring this experience to Rift owners everywhere.”
Pre-orders for Oculus Rift should be available early next year. EVE: Valkyrie will be a launch title for Luckey’s VR headset, but the game will also support Sony’s PlayStation VR.
