Final Fantasy is one of the most popular franchises in the world. Each part is welcomed by fans very warmly and gets high scores. Some people buy PlayStation solely to play these games earlier (I know some of them myself). So, no wonder that the release of Final Fantasy XVI on PS5 was also a great event. After a year from the original premiere, PC players can also test this title themselves. However, Square Enix is not the luckiest company, as it seems that there are crashes on both platforms – computers and consoles.

Final Fantasy XVI (FF16) Crashes on PC and PS5

A few minutes ago FF16 was released on PC, while many players still download the game, the first of them report crashes. It seems that they appear as early as shader compilation. Luckily, there is an easy fix for them – it is enough to restart the game and try again (or a few times). While it is not very sophisticated, the most important thing is that it works. Moreover, developers have announced on Steam that some AMD graphics cards may experience issues. Make sure to update your drivers to resolve it.

However, it is not the end of Final Fantasy XVI problems. A year after the initial release, the game crashes on PS5, too. Moreover, players report various other glitches. Gamers connect these with the recent PS5 update. It seems that the issues started from that point.

Hopefully, all problems will be fixed soon, and we all will be able to enjoy Final Fantasy XVI.
