IN A NUTSHELL:
- mod Trial of the Seven Kingdoms mod for Mount & Blade 2 lets you play in the world known from the Game of Thrones series;
- The action takes place during the War of the Five Kings;
- The mod is not yet compatible with e1.5.6 update.
Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord has received another total conversion mod which enables us to play in the land of Westeros known from the A Song of Ice and Fire novel series and the popular HBO show Game of Thrones. Mod created by KingOfTheN0rth is called Trial of the Seven Kingdoms and you can download it from NexusMods.
It is worth noting that this is not the first modification bringing the world of Game of Thrones to Bannerlord - in May last year we wrote about a similar mod A Wist of Fate. There is a fundamental difference between these works, however. The action of the older of them takes place in an alternative version of Westeros, in which Robert's coup against house Targaryen failed - so it's a kind of alternative prequel to Game of Thrones. In turn, the mod we described today is set in a reality well known to fans of the series - during the so-called War of the Five Kings (just after the first season / volume).
For now, the mod offers mainly the area of Westeros, but with time other continents and factions may appear. It's worth noting that the modification can't be considered a finished work for now, although it's already playable (the creators claim that about 75% of the map is ready, but some characters may be missing, and the appearance of some characters will change).
The mod is very easy to install (just copy all the files into the game's main directory). Trial of the Seven Kingdoms works with all versions of Bannerlord (Steam, Epic Games Store and GOG), but unfortunately for now it is not compatible with the latest e1.5.6 update - the creators are working on it. If you would like to share feedback with the developers, you can find them on this channel on Discord.
