Gears Of War Creator Wants Zack Snyder to Direct Game's Movie Adaptation

Cliff Bleszinski would see Zack Snyder as director of the movie adaptation of Gears of War. In a recent interview, the brand's creator told what he thinks of the cinematic output of the aforementioned director and how the American has influenced cinematography. Bleszinski's words, in addition to his opinion on Army of the Dead, are sure to please Zack Snyder. The director stated in the summer that the topic of Gears of War keeps coming up and he would be interested in a movie adaptation of the game. The chances seem to be quite high, especially if Rebel Moon proves to be a success, since the aforementioned movie adaptation of the game is also being developed for Netflix.

At the same time, Cliff Bleszinski has not changed his mind about the cast and would still like to see Dave Bautista in the role of Marcus Fenix. In the interview, he mentioned the actor again, adding that in his previous roles - in Guardians of the Galaxy and Bladerunner 2049 - he has done very well.

Official announcement of the director of Gears of War would finally move the project forward. In March, news was passed on the hiring of a screenwriter, but it's hard not to get the impression that nothing has happened around the screenplay since then.
