God of war joins the fray in Hades 2. The Warsong update introduces many new features, including „The Final Confrontation” on Olympus

A week after the release of The Warsong update for Hades II, Supergiant Games released patch 8. The list of changes is quite long, but these are exclusively bug fixes and balance adjustments. You can take a look at them in the developer's announcement. The patch has been applied to both the version of the game available on Steam and in the Epic Games Store.

A few months after the release of the first major update to Hades II in early access, Supergiant Games studio published an equally massive patch, The Warsong, which introduces many new features to the gameplay, including the god of war himself. Below you can watch a trailer presenting the new content.

You can find the full list of changes directly in the developer's post. Besides, the elements listed below, the devs also fixed minor bugs and balanced many items and characters.

1. Ares - the Greek god of war - joined the game with his boons.
2. Players can participate in "The Final Confrontation" on Mount Olympus.
3. We got another familiar. It's an animal resembling a ferret.
4. New card designs have appeared at the revamped Altar of Ashes.
5. At the crossroads, the main protagonist will be able to sing a duet with the goddess Artemis.
6. Over 2,000 lines of dialogue and several musical pieces have been added.
7. The developers introduced new boons for gods other than the aforementioned Ares, as well as events and challenging opponents.

Supergiant Games studio isn't stopping and is already working on the third major patch, which is to be made available to players in a few months. Meanwhile, the company stated that it still cannot offer an estimated release date for the full version of the title.

The new update attracted fans to Hades II. Before the patch release, around 1500-3000 players were consistently playing the title on Steam simultaneously - now there are more than 10,000. However, this is still a small number compared to the record "peak" of 103,567 people playing Hades II at the same time.
