GTA 5 Will Impress With Improved Visuals? Rockstar Announced Changes

Rockstar Games has announced that GTA Online will receive ray tracing on PS5 and Xbox Series X, among other features, as part of a December update. There are also reasons to believe that this option will also make its way to GTA5.

Rockstar Games informed about the changes and improvements to be introduced to Grand Theft Auto Online in the December update.

  1. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X releases will receive ray tracing support as part of the quality mode.
  2. Missions in the Casino Story series will become playable solo.
  3. Players will be given the ability to configure which contacts will be displayed in iFruit.
  4. There will also be vehicle upgrades. For example, we will be able to use some of our converted cars with weapons in races (weapons will be disabled for the duration of the competition).
  5. There will be improvements to the virtual economy.
  6. The update will also introduce the first part of a series enabling us to explore the more dangerous side of Blaine County in the southern part of San Andreas. We can expect new missions, cars and events.
  7. In addition, for a limited time, the Declasse Tahoma Coupe car will be made available to everyone, thanks to the community that raised more than $1 trillion during The Heists Challenge.

All of these improvements apply to GTA Online, but it's possible that ray tracing will also make its way to the solo campaign. A reputable fan known as Tez2 reported many months ago that the settings of GTA5 on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles included such an option, but for now it is disabled. At the time, he speculated that it would be activated with the addition of ray tracing to the PC release.

Recall that despite its age, the game is still earning money like crazy. The latest figures put Grand Theft Auto V at 170 million copies sold, 5 million of which were in the past quarter.
