Rockstar Games informed about the changes and improvements to be introduced to Grand Theft Auto Online in the December update.
All of these improvements apply to GTA Online, but it's possible that ray tracing will also make its way to the solo campaign. A reputable fan known as Tez2 reported many months ago that the settings of GTA5 on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles included such an option, but for now it is disabled. At the time, he speculated that it would be activated with the addition of ray tracing to the PC release.
Recall that despite its age, the game is still earning money like crazy. The latest figures put Grand Theft Auto V at 170 million copies sold, 5 million of which were in the past quarter.
