GTA Online Returns to Roots With Big Car Theft-focused Update Called The Chop Shop
Today, GTA Online received The Chop Shop update. It introduces, among other things, heists involving car theft, drift racing and dangerous wild animals in free mode on PS5 and XSX/S. The patch is accompanied by a new trailer.
As announced, studio Rockstar Games releasedThe Chop Shop update for GTA Online. First of all, it introduces heists involving the theft of vehicles desired in Los Santos, the activity from which the entire Grand Theft Auto series takes its name.
This thread is related to the character known from GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony - Yusuf Amir and his cousin Jamal. After a phone call from the former, the player must acquire Red's Auto Parts junkyard, which will become a front for this criminal activity.
The list of cars in demand is to be updated weekly. Before each heist, it will become necessary to obtain information and make the appropriate preparations - which will be spread over several tasks, often requiring disguise, hacking and excellent driving skills. After all, scratching the vehicle is associated with reduced amount of money that you will ultimately receive.
In addition, The Chop Shop introduces to GTA Online Christmas events and items, a new shotgun, drift racing and vehicles (including the Turismo Omaggio, Fathom FR36 and Declasse Vigero ZX Convertible). More information about it can be found here and in our previous news.
It is just worth mentioning that additional attractions await those who play on PS5 or XSX/S. These include:
- addition of dangerous wild animals in free mode;
- improvements to the interaction menu;
- increased experience points awarded for chases and street races organized by the Los Santos Club.
Moreover, the patch in question offers a bit of a benefit for subscribers to the GTA+service, available exclusively on PS5 and XSX/S. They can count on, among other things, an additional Vinewood club garage and a Declasse Impaler LX car. For details, I refer to the official announcement.
