Hellboy: Web of Wyrd Pleases the Eye With Comic Book-like Graphics
During The Game Awards 2022, the roguelite Hellboy: Web of Wyrd was revealed. The game invites with its visuals.
At this year's The Game Awards, the first trailer for Hellboy: Web of Wyrd was unveiled. The title is based on Mike Mignola's comic book series telling the story of the titular Hellboy. The game will come out on PS4, PS5, Xboxy One, Xboxy Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PCs. It will be a roguelite, in which the player can combine melee and ranged attacks to fight opponents. The visuals undoubtedly hark back to the game's comic book source material. You can watch its trailer below.
Just like in the comic book, the game sends Hellboy on a series of vastly different and completely unique adventures. The hero will be tasked with finding a missing B.P.R.D. agent and uncovering the secrets of The Butterfly House.
Hellboy: Web of Wyrd is the responsibility of Upstream Arcade; the title is being developed in cooperation with Dark Horse Comics as well as Mignola himself. For now, we do not know the game's release date.
