Highly anticipated feature from Elden Ring hits Dark Souls 3
Proven solutions from the Seamless Co-op mod for Elden Ring have been carried over to Dark Souls 3. A mod known as Yui has enabled players to complete the entire game in co-op mode without having to constantly reconnect.

Dark Souls 3 fans can now enjoy a new experience in multiplayer mode. The modder known as Yui - the creator of the Seamless Co-op mod for Elden Ring - has ported its proven solutions to the third installment of the cult "Souls" series. Yui's latest mod, similar to the last one, removes all restrictions of FromSoftware's cooperative mode, enabling you to play through the entire game with someone else without needing to reconnect after every death or defeated boss.

- the death of a player doesn't end the session - instead, they respawn at the last visited bonfire;
- defeating the boss doesn't cause the team to disband (however, if we die during the fight with the boss, the game will move us to spectator mode until our team deals with it);
- the fog walls that previously limited the area available in multiplayer mode have been removed;
- NPC dialogues and plot events are synchronized for all players;
- resting by the bonefire resets the state of the world for the whole team;
- option for up to six people to play together at the same time.
Seamless Co-op for DS3 - how does the mod work?
Seamless Co-op introduces several changes that completely alter the way you can play Dark Souls 3 in multiplayer mode:
The mod also allows adjusting the difficulty level to the players' preferences. You can adjust the scaling of opponents so that the game doesn't become too easy.
Unlike the Seamless Co-op for Elden Ring, in the mod version for Dark Souls 3, player invasions can occur if activated in the configuration file. Just like in a "normal" game, the invasions block the ability to use bonfires and teleportation until the invader is defeated.
Seamless Co-op runs separately from the official FromSoftware servers, eliminating the risk of a ban since it uses distinct save files. Despite this, the creator warns that the mod is in alpha stage and bugs may happen.
Elden Ring Seamless Co-op success
In 2022, the Seamless Co-op for Elden Ring became one of the most popular modifications on Nexus Mods, which was downloaded over eight million times. Similarly, the Dark Souls 3 Seamless Co-op mod offers a solution that many players would most likely want to receive as an official feature. The mod can be downloaded now, and you can find its mirror and installation instructions on the nexusmods.com website.
