How to Export Water in Cities Skylines 2

Cities Skylines 2 is the sequel to the extremely popular city builder. Just like in its predecessor, the players are tasked with developing a settlement from a small patch of land to a bustling metropolis. It involves managing all aspects from construction, trade and economy, establishing city services, to disaster relief. It’s a complex and challenging task.

All of the above cost money. If you want to earn more of it, you should trade with the outside world. Fortunately, there is a resource which can be sold easily. You don’t need special structures or complicated set-ups in order to export water in Cities Skylines 2.

First, unlock the tiles that separate you from the boundary of the map. Once you’ve done that, all you have to do is draw a water pipe all the way to the map’s edge.

The water export process will start and continue automatically, so you don’t have to worry about enabling it. You can check the figures on the amount of water you’re exporting from the Electricity and Water information. Moreover, the Finances view will tell you more about your profits from water export.
