Such is the case with Lethal Company, a recent hit where you are tasked with scavenging not so abandoned moons for resources for titular Company. Sometimes though the experiments can go south especially if the game is developed only by one person as in this instance. This obviously brings a lot of challenges for a title like that and it’s no different for Lethal Company, where some users experience black screen while launching it. Black screen workarounds in Lethal Company
There can be numerous reasons for black screen in Lethal Company. With fans’ reports on Steam’s Community Hub, we have gathered the most common ones and what to do about them. Here they are:
- There seems to be an issue with certain AMD GPUs. Some players recommend disabling the AMD graphics card from Device Manager, though this is not something that can be done if you have only dedicated GPU. It can be used if you have integrated graphics on your CPU, but bear in mind that it will severely reduce your fps count in the game.
- Quite a weird solution suggested by one of the forum users was to simply alt-tab the title while it black screens on launch. After going back to the application, it works as it should.
- It may be problematic if you have any joystick or gamepad plugged into your machine. Try unplugging it and launching the title again.
With how many reports about this issue there are, we can expect Zeekerss to investigate this problem soon. Don’t forget though, that since they are the only dev of Lethal Company, the whole development and debugging cycle can take longer than usual, especially when compared to large studios.
