How to Get Artifacts in Tribes of Midgard; Mechanic Explained

Tribes of Midgard is an addictive game in which our task is to collect materials, level up our characters, fight enemies and defend the village during the night to save the sapling of the Yggdrasil tree from destruction. Artifacts in Saga Mode

In Saga Mode we can obtain selected Fragments by fighting specific enemies, completing quests, etc.

1. Quest Fragments - As the name suggests, they can be obtained by performing various quests in the game world.
2. Jotnar Fragments - It is not easy to obtain these items, because in order to do so we have to defeat ice giants known as Jotnar, and it is worth knowing that they are very dangerous and challenging opponents.
3. Event Fragments - In order to get them, you need to perform random events, such as Roosters of Ragnarok, World Tree Stag, or Prisoner Escape. It is possible that more random events will be added to the game in the future.
4. Hideout Fragments - On the game map you need to find a hideout, or a special cave. After entering it, you have to defeat all the rivals there, and then pull the lever that unlocks the next floor. Each Hideout has at least three levels, and on the last one a special opponent awaits, after defeating which you can take out the Hideout Fragment from Treasure Chest.

Artifacts in Survival Mode

In Survival Mode, you need an Artifact Altar to obtain these items. However, in order to gain possession of it, you must first build the Lumbering Stand, upgrade it to level 2, and then craft a Mining Stand and raise the level of this construction to LVL 3.. Then, by using Mining Stone you can put up an Artifact Altar. For this purpose you need:

1. 15 Aquamarine
2. 10 Amethyst
3. 5 Strand of Angrboda's Hair

Aquamarine and Amethyst can be found on Ash Beach, and Strand of Angrboda's Hair will be obtained for defeating the giant known as Angrboda.

Other Artifacts

Sometimes in the game you can come across other items labeled as Artifacts. These are usually needed to complete specific tasks, but can also be sold if you decide you don't need them.
