Ready to play Deltarune? The title will be released in a few hours, so it’s perfect time to talk about importing progress and making the game fullscreen.
Undertale is one of the most unique RPGs. Its retro design has been loved by many players around the world. So, it's no surprise that the release of Deltarune, another game from the same developer, is highly anticipated. After a long time with only demo, we have the opportunity to test two more parts of the adventure, as 1-4 Chapters will be available for purchase soon (and even more to come in the future). The game is a unique one. So be prepared that it will launch in windowed mode and in a 4:3 resolution. In this guide we will tell you how to enable fullscreen and import progress.
Windowed mode may not seem like the biggest problem. However, the game has been designed in such a way that we don’t get access to the settings from the beginning. We have to play some time for it to unlock. Fortunately, there is a simple solution for that problem – you must press alt + enter to switch between windowed and full screen modes. Keep in mind that it works only after you pick the chapter.
It seems that players suing Steam Deck or Linux OS have problems with transferring data. At this point there is no official solution. However, one Steam user claims to know the answer for the problem. As we can’t verify it right now, know that you use it at your own risk.
Deltarune demo allows you to play the first two chapters. If you have completed both, and wish the game to acknowledge that, you have this opportunity. On PC you don’t have to do anything special – the import process is automatic. However, the demo doesn’t support Steam Cloud. So, you shouldn't delete the save file from the PC to transfer the progress.
On Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, you will be asked if you want to transfer progress. Of course, the option appears only if you have played demo on the same device.
In addition, PlayStation demo supports trophies. However, you must keep in mind that they will not transfer to the full game. You will have to complete Chapters 1 and 2 again.
