Passing the ball is a difficult art, especially in ReMatch. Want to learn how to do it in different ways? Then, read our guide!
ReMatch is a sports game about soccer, focused on cooperation with other team members (mainly because each player controls only one player). Therefore, proper positioning and passing the ball to each other is key to winning a match. Unfortunately, it is not at all as intuitive as it may seem. Therefore, if you want to learn how to pass, it is your last chance, as the beta ends tomorrow (May 31, 2025). Of course, there is a possibility that it will be extended as the last time, and we will have more opportunities to test our skills.
When playing the ReMatch beta, there is an impression that players are hesitant to pass the ball to their teammates. However, many of them don't do that on purpose, but simply don't know how to accomplish it. Below we will present how to do this, both using the controller and the keyboard and mouse.
The easiest way is to use the button responsible for the short pass. On the controller, this is the square in the case of the PS5 or X for the Xbox, while on the PC, the right mouse button. The longer you hold them down, the stronger the pass will be. So, if the player you want to direct the ball to is close, all you need to do is quickly press the aforementioned keys.
However, you can't just focus on short passes, because your teammates won't always be close enough. It is also possible that they will be covered by another player, and such a pass will cause you to lose the ball quickly. You can also use a high lob pass. To do this, you must hold down R1/RB on controller or F on the keyboard. Again, the longer you press them, the stronger the pass will become.
On the other hand, if you can see an uncovered player from very far away, the best way is to use the key responsible for the shot. Simply, hold down the R2/RT on controller or left mouse button for a long time, point the camera upward to hit the ball high, and that's how you'll make a long-distance pass toward the players on your team.
Remember that passing the ball to uncovered teammates is the key to victory. Also take advantage of walls if players are well covered, or you are attacked by opponents.
