Devs explain how to play Rematch early access on Game Pass
It seems that players with Game Pass subscription have problems with installing Rematch early access despite buying Pro and Elite Edition upgrades. We will tell you how to fix it.

The official premiere of Rematch will be on June 19, 2025, but those who have bought Pro and Elite Editions of the game can play it right now. While the release hype was disturbed by a sudden reveal of lack of crossplay, it did not stop thousands of people from jumping straight into the game (via SteamDB). The new soccer experience (or football) is available on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. Those who own Game Pass can also enjoy this production “for free”, even right now if you buy a proper upgrade. However, there is a problem with the latter. Ler’s look at it.
How to play Rematch early access on Game Pass
While all players owning Game Pass will have access to it upon official release, if you decide to buy Pro or Elite Edition upgrade, you may enjoy it right now. At least that is theory. The truth is that players have problems with accessing early access using Microsoft subscription. However, developers have noticed the issue and published a fix on the official Discord Channel. All you need to do is:
- Make sure that you log in to the store using the account with active Game Pass subscription and one of the upgrades – Pro or Elite.
- Search for the regular version of Rematch.
- While on the game page click on the Rematch app from the bundle offers.
With the above, you should be able to install the game. If you have more problems, feel free to use this form to leave feedback for developers. Keep in mind that some of the issues you encounter may be well known and creators are working on them as we speak. Their full list is here.
