A few hours ago, a new update to Persona 5: The Phantom X appeared. Version 1.1 offers many interesting banners, a chance to earn additional tickets and take part in fresh events. For many, the most interesting addition is a mission called Metro of Desire. It allows you not only to defeat Shadows in a different way, offering unique gameplay, but also to earn more rewards. The snag is that unlocking this mode is not as easy as it may seem. In our guide, we will address this issue.

If you have problems with classroom answers, we prepared a guide for you.

Metro of Desire is a new mode that was added with the 1.1 update. It features roguelike elements, where you choose a path for the train to follow, and then you have to solve various events (including fights) that will stand in your way. Once you reach the end of the route, you will have to defeat the final boss. The opponents and events are random (except the final enemy), so you should not be bored.

The problem is that many players cannot unlock this mode. The most likely reasons for this are:

  1. Too low Wonder’s level - in order to be able to unlock the mission and the event, the main requirement is to have level 32 of your protagonist: Wonder. If you don't have this level, try to complete daily missions or side quests and pore over various activities in Realm of Repression.
  2. Unfinished 1st Palace - to unlock Metro of Desire, you must complete the first main chapter, which involves completing Kiuchi's Palace. Probably it is because the new mode takes part in the Mementos Area 2, which is canonically unlocked after this mission. Moreover, the challenge requires a character on a proper level, so it is an additional test of your skills and team.

You can easily find the Metro of Desire under the Events tab. However, if clicking on the Depart option doesn't redirect you to the task, access them through the Menu (click Tab) and then select Missions. Click on the Side tab. There you should notice a new mission called Metro of Desire, where you will have to talk to Lufel, who is located in Station Square in Shibuya. Completing this task will not only unlock this mode, but will also reward you:

  1. 5000x Konpaku Gem,
  2. 3x Thief Compendium Volume,
  3. 3x Anecdote Cube.
