A major update to Sid Meier's Civilization 7 is coming, with larger maps, new gameplay settings, and modder support expected to arrive in June.
After a poor launch, Civilization 7 is trying to get back on track. Firaxis Games studio announced that on June 17th, the game will get the 1.2.2 update - according to the developers, the biggest one so far. The creators still emphasize, however, that this is just the beginning of far-reaching changes.
Civilization 7 was released on February 11, 2025, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. On June 5th, Firaxis Games' creation launched on Nintendo Switch 2.
