„It's art.” People rave about the video created entirely with AI tools
An Internet creator boasted about the video he managed to do with the help of AI. The result is so good that some have called it art.
Videos generated with the help of artificial intelligence are reaching increasingly higher levels of quality. The material titled Last Call Before A.G.I can be proof of that. The cyberpunk-styled video was well received, with viewers praising its high quality. The developer revealed that they used eight different AI tools.
AI generated material deemed art
Last Call Before A.G.I. is set in a universe where scientists have succeeded in creating the titular AGI, or Artificial General Intelligence. In theory, the capabilities of artificial intelligence exceed those of humans. In the short video, the characters face the day before a vote that will decide whether the created AGI should be activated. The characters involved are in favor of activating it.
Apart from the YouTube channel, Matt Zien also shared the recording on the r/ChatGPT subreddit. People responded positively to the video. It was called a work of art and seen as proof that artificial intelligence will redefine our reality. Interestingly, the only human contributions were the song’s lyrics and the editing. All the remaining elements - including the soundtrack - were created by artificial intelligence.
The developer responded to one of the comments, sharing the tools he used to create the video. There are eight of them in total:

- VEO,
- Hailuo,
- Seadance,
- Suno,
- Kling,
- Dreamina,
- Runway Act Two.
Matt Zien believes that the key is selecting the strongest aspects of each AI model.
The Reddit moderators, however, don't agree with the community's opinion. The post was deleted, with a comment stating that it violated point number 6 of the subreddit’s rules regarding AI art.
Quality over Quantity: AI art submissions are allowed only if they showcase something very unique or unusual. Generic memes, low-effort images and karma farming posts will be removed.
To judge whether the subreddit’s mods' decision was fair, it’s best to watch the five-minute video first. It's also worth noting that since December 2023, video content created with the help of artificial intelligence has been appearing on the KNGMKR channel, and Last Call Before A.G.I. marks the next step in refining the craft of working with AI.
