Hollywood Actress Joins Deadpool 3; Will Reprise Old Role

Work on Deadpool 3 is in full swing and more and more details are reaching us. According to the latest reports from The Hollywood Reporter the film will feature actress Jennifer Garner, who will return to the creation of Elektra after almost 20 years.

The upcoming installment of Deadpool, in which the main role will again be played by Ryan Reynolds, will therefore resurrect not only Hugh Jackman's Wolverine, but also Elektra. It will be recalled that Jennifer Garner first played the role of the assassin in Daredevil from 2003 (then the blind hero was played by Ben Affleck), and two years later she starred in a solo film dedicated to her character.

It is worth noting that Garner has already worked with Reynolds and the director of the new Deadpool, Shawn Levy, on The Adam Project, which debuted in the first half of 2022.

It is not known exactly what task Elektra will face in the upcoming movie. Recently, there was news that Deadpool 3 will touch on the theme of multiverse, so the presence of the aforementioned heroine would fit perfectly.

The third part of Deadpool will be officially included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This raised fears among fans of the previous two installments that the filmmakers would reduce the amount of gory action, thus taking care of Disney's youngest viewers. The director, however denies these speculations and mentions that strong scenes will be numerous.

Premiere of Deadpool 3 can be expected only in 2024. It is rumored to take place in November. Until then, fans can watch the first two parts on Disney+.
