King's Bounty 2 Goes Gold; New System Requirements Revealed

Work on King's Bounty 2 has been completed. The developers are preparing for the August launch and have provided new, rather high system requirements for the PC version.

1C Entertainment and Prime Matter announced the completion of work on King's Bounty II. The game has gone gold, which means that it can go to the pressing plant, and its release, announced for August 24, is (most likely) not threatened. To celebrate the success, the developer and publisher released a few minutes of gameplay to gives us a taste of what awaits us. You can watch it below.

At the same time we go to know the new, higher than previously announced system requirements for the PC version of King's Bounty II. It turns out that to expect smooth gameplay and nice graphics, you will need good hardware.

King's Bounty 2 - minimum system requirements for PC

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4690 / AMD FX-9370
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 970 / AMD Radeon RX 480 with 4GB of VRAM
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • OS: Windows 10 version 64-bit
  • HDD space: 20 GB (HDD)

King's Bounty 2 - recommended system requirements for PC

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-7400 or AMD Ryzen 7 1700X
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 or Radeon RX 580 with 6 GB of VRAM
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • DirectX: Version 11
  • OS: Windows 10 version 64-bit
  • HDD space: 20 GB (SSD)

It seems that the developers failed to optimize the title properly. Earlier, the minimum system configuration said to be able to handle King's Bounty II consisted of a 2.5 GHz quad-core processor, 16 GB RAM and a GeForce GTX 470 or Radeon HD 6870 GPU with 2 GB VRAM.

King's Bounty II will be released on PC, XONE, PS4 and Switch. In backward compatibility, the game will also be available on XSX|S and PS5. Here you can found details on special edition content and pre-order bonuses.
