The open world farming adventure Lightyear Frontier has released as a demo on Steam. Players can now try out exploring and cultivating a picturesque alien planet from a customizable mecha. However, in the demo version, the relaxing experience is missing an important element promised by the developers – a multiplayer mode. Will Coop be added in the Early Access launch? We have an answer from the developers themselves.

Lightyear Frontier – Coop and Multiplayer Explained

According to Lightyear Frontier’s official description on Steam, up to 3 friends will be able to join you on your adventure as an extraterrestrial farmer and explorer. The demo version that released ahead of Early Access only includes solo play, but the devs have clarified on their official Discord that Coop will be coming. We can read in FAQ that:

Yes! When Early Access launches, you can play solo or with up to 3 pals on online co-op! The demo is single-player only.

Fans of the game who have planned to meet and unwind in the world of Lightyear Frontier together with friends can rest assured, as the feature will come.

What’s more, the game isn’t just about tending to the fields, other players will be able to accompany you on your quest as you explore the land, as well. Once the Early Access drops, you will be able uncover the secrets of the previous civilization, or tackle the elements and pollution in the alien world together. Stay tuned for the release on the 19th of March and check out the roadmap on Steam to find out what else to expect from Lightyear Frontier.
