Do you like music? If so, you are probably like a fish in water answering the new Buzzwords in Cookie Jam. All of them are about various instruments and similar topics. Now, let’s answer one of them – “String instrument that’s plucked”.

This week is probably heaven for Cookie Jam players who like music. Well, at least for those who are interested in its more “technical” aspects, as we have many questions about various instruments (“Percussion instrument found in pairs” and “Flat instrument with wooden bars and mallet”) or even techniques (“The higher pitch of music, opposite of bass” and “DJ move where the record spins backwards”). To be honest, I am lost in this topic, so I struggle to answer most of the Buzzwords. If you are like me, don’t worry, as we’ve got your back. Let’s look at “String instrument that’s plucked” and try to figure this one out.
String instruments are very diverse. It is because the only restriction to be considered one is the production of sound from vibrating strings. However, there are various methods of how you can do that – plucking is one of them. So, the hint itself was only partially useful, as it leaves a lot of possibilities.
I like Middle Ages and fantasy, so lute is not a new word to me. To put it simply, it is a grandparent of guitar. If we believe Wikipedia, this instrument was known as early as c. 3100 BC – over 5000 years ago. And that’s only documented history. There is high probability that it is even older, as a lot of our past is undocumented / we have not found proves for our theories yet.
Knowing that, you may continue your Cookie Jam journey. The next question is about “Massive instrument”. That’s a very general one. Do you know the answer?
