Lynch is Preparing a New Show for Netflix
David Lynch, one of the most controversial and original directors in history, is working on a new original production for Netflix.
David Lynch, director of the iconic TV series Twin Peaks, as well as such films as Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway or What Did Jack Do? is preparing to get behind the camera of a new series for Netflix, working title Wisteria.
The eponymous wisteria is a plant, known for its beautiful flowers and expansive nature. A quick glance at its flowers is enough to understand why it fits perfectly into David Lynch's oneiric imagination. Let us remember, that it is only a working title, so it is possible that we will not see the wisteria at all in the final work, or it will be just a metaphor or a symbol.
Work on the production, written and directed by Lynch, is scheduled to start in May 2021. Some of the shooting will be done at The Calvert Studios in the UK. It is known that one of the producers will be Sabrina S. Sutherland, who worked on Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces, among others.
Back in April, David Lynch referred to rumors about the upcoming cooperation with Netflix. At that time, however, he stated that these were only rumors, cutting the subject short. Now that it is known that it's a fact, we are waiting for Netflix and the director to reveal more about Wisteria. This may happen tomorrow, or maybe in a few months.
