Here comes Marauders, a tactical shooter in the style of Escape from Tarkov, in which we take on the role of dieselpunk space pirates.

Team17 has announced Marauders, a dieselpunk tactical shooter.

  1. Marauders - official website

Marauders - what we know about the game

The project is the responsibility of Small Impact Games, a team which simultaneously works on The Black Death.

  1. The game is heading exclusively for PC.
  2. It will be sold on Steam.
  3. For now, the developers are not ready to give a release date, limiting themselves to saying that it will happen soon.
  4. One of the most interesting elements of Marauders is the setting. The game is set in an alternate version of the 1990s, a reality in which World War I never ended. Earth had been industrialized to the point that further development required the conquest of space.
  5. Players play as mercenaries who will carry out boarding missions on space frigates. Their task will be to climb aboard, steal valuable items and escape with the loot.
  6. Frigate crews will be controlled by AI. During the game we will also have to fight rival mercenary teams controlled by other players.
  7. Boarding will be carried out by ourselves or in three-person teams with other people.
  8. In addition to fighting on the decks of frigates we will also take part in space battles between ships.
  9. The gameplay will be driven by a constant progression system, where progress will be retained between battles. It will enable us to improve characters' abilities and equipment. An important role will also be played by spaceship customization.
