Marvel SNAP debuted on October 18, 2022 after several months of open beta. The game quickly gained fans around the world, which translated not only into good reviews, but also many awards, including the title of Best Mobile Game of 2022.

Nuverse's production originally came to Android and iOS devices, but also to PC, where it was available on Steam. However, the PC version was still in early access, and its appearance left much to be desired. Indeed, it presented itself just like the one for smartphones. In addition, the missing space of the horizontal screen was filled with a galaxy-like background, which did not delight the gamers. Those days are now a thing of the past, as the developer has just rolled out a highly anticipated update.

Marvel SNAP debuts on PC

The first day of Gamescom is behind us. Among the numerous announcements, there was also room for a short trailer from Nuverse. The animated video from Line Animation showing Deadpool, Ghost Rider and Squirrel Girl fighting each other over a cube and then facing off against Devil Dinosaur turned out to be the announcement of the game's official PC release.

A revised and improved version of Marvel SNAP is now available on Steam and is completely unlike its mobile counterpart. The entire game is now displayed in widescreen, and as a result, the background of the gameplay, which is directly connected to the entire board, has been changed.

Animations have also been adapted to the new resolution, both for cards and locations. This applies especially to effects that affected the entire screen, such as the Galactus sequence. The game's interface has also been improved and adapted to the horizontal screen. So the main menu, which now displays active missions and all notifications, has been changed, and the collection screen has been improved. The store in the PC version still looks like the one known from the smartphone, however, it has been adapted to wide screens, and the rigid "phone" frame has been replaced with a screen reminiscent of those from S.H.I.E.L.D. bases.

A week of free rewards in Marvel SNAP

The game's departure from early access and official release on PC alone are not enough. The developers have decided to pompously celebrate the update and gifted players with numerous rewards, which can be found in the notification (inbox). The first of these is a Mecha variant for Devil Dinosaur, which can be acquired by logging into the game via Steam (the prize is active until September 21, 2023).

In addition to the alternative version of the card, the developers have prepared a week full of activities. Starting from August 23 and until August 29 each day after logging into the game we will receive a certain reward:

  • 200 gold [starting August 23 at 6 p.m. CET],
  • 65 afterburners of the Devil Dinosaur [start August 24 at 6 p.m. CET],
  • Avatar Mech Devil Dinosaur [Start August 25 at 6 p.m. CET],
  • 500 credits [Start August 26 at 6 p.m. CET],
  • 3 gold Conquest mode tickets [start August 27 at 6 p.m. CET],
  • 300 gold [start August 28 at 6 p.m. CET],
  • Secret Premium Variant [Start August 29 at 6 p.m. CET].

It is worth remembering that, unlike the Devil Dinosaur variant, the weekly rewards can be claimed on both the PC and mobile versions of the game.

Twitch drop in Marvel SNAP

In addition to the above rewards, for the next week (i.e., until August 29) you can earn three item packs via Twitch Drops. By watching relevant streams from the game for a certain period of time, we will be able to obtain sets containing a variant, avatar, title, boosters for the hero of your choice and 200 credits:

  • Nightcrawler (required a total of 2 hours of watching),
  • Moon Girl (required a total of 4 hours of watching, after collecting Nightcrawler rewards first),
  • Sunspot (required a total of 6 hours of watching after previously collecting Moon Girl).

To receive the above packages for watching streams, you must first link your Marvel SNAP account with the Twitch Drop service via the game's official website. The progress of earned rewards can be tracked directly in the Twitch inventory, and after collecting them on the platform, they will appear in the game after a while.

In addition, the entire launch of the game on PC will be crowned with a special even called Twitch Rivals, which will feature 32 online creators associated with Marvel SNAP. Given this amount of novelties and events both in and out of the game, one can suspect that the developers have a few more surprises in store with which to delight players in the near future.

It is likely that we will see more news with the end of the season called Big in Japan and the start of the new one, which is scheduled for September 5, 2023. The next chapter of the game will focus on the character of Loki.
