20 Minutes of Gameplay With Wolverine From Marvel's Midnight Suns

An extensive presentation of Marvel's Midnight Suns has hit the web. Its lion's share is gameplay, where we can see such characters as Wolverine or Sabertooth in action.

New gameplay from Marvel's Midnight Suns, a tactical RPG set in the Marvel comic book universe, has been released. The game is developed by Firaxis, the creators of the XCOM and Sid Meier's Civilization series.

The video lasts over twenty minutes and its majority is a presentation of gameplay. The recording is commented on by producer Carolina Guevara, creative director Jake Solomon and Garth Deangelis, acting in the project as the so-called brand producer.

The gameplay shows The Hunter, a new character created for the game, which will act as the player avatar. In the mission The Hunter is accompanied by Wolverine. We can also see a clash with a super villain known as Sabertooth, as well as sections in the base, where we will spend time between missions.

During the presentation the creators also revealed that Marvel's Midnight Suns is a premium game without microtransactions, which will offer rich single-player content. The only way to unlock powers and other items will be through gameplay.

This is an important declaration, as visually the abilities in the game are presented in the form of cards, and virtual card games are famous for microtransactions, so the anxiety of some players was understandable. In Marvel's Midnight Suns, however, this form of presentation is only to facilitate the selection and management of abilities.

Skill cards assigned to a character before the mission will then be available without any restrictions during battles. In each turn we'll receive a certain number of movement points and we'll be able to freely allocate them to team members.

Marvel's Midnight Suns is coming to Windows PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. The release is scheduled for March next year. The PC version will be sold on both Steam and Epic Games Store.
