Co-op shooters are a genre currently heavily exploited by devs, which is why it's extremely difficult for the titles appearing on the market to stand out and gain a wide audience. However, the fact remains that a few titles have achieved this feat, and soon they may have another strong competitor.

We're talking about The Forever Winter, a cooperative survival horror shooter that will show us a vision of a dark post-apocalyptic world torn apart by the conflict between people and big machines. Fun Dog studio, founded in 2022, is in charge of the production and consists of "30 industry veterans" who have previously worked on series such as Mass Effect, Doom, Horizon, and The Witcher.

You can get a taste of what awaits us by watching the trailer below.

Despite the limited information about the game, we can gather from its Steam page that it promises to deliver an "incredibly dynamic combat system" that will make the fights highly unpredictable. Especially because the opponents "have their own objectives and plans, operate in coordinated groups, engage in full-scale battles" and "intelligently react" to our actions.

To stay alive, we will need to "use our cunning, stealth abilities, and weapon handling." At the beginning, the warring factions may overlook us, but the more we obstruct their goals, the more determined they will be to eliminate us.

The Forever Winter will be available on PC. The release date of the game is still unknown.
