If you struggle to secure water in TFW, worry no longer, as here you will learn some locations that will allow you to get it in abundance.
If you are bored by colorful postapocalyptic games, where the cataclysm was only the beginning of a bright, new, vibrant future, The Forever Winter is something just for you. The game is set in a dark, malevolent world in never-ending conflict, where huge war machines roam the Earth. Your main task is to survive to live another day. Not getting killed is only one part of survival, as water is equally, or even more, important. Finding it in this ravaged environment is a tremendous challenge, so here we’ll try to ease the burden and help you out by pinpointing some places where you can reliably recharge your water supply.
After you get through the initial problems of the Early Access version of The Forever Winter, like buying the game due to PayPal problems, low FPS, crashes, or not being able to join your friends, you will be tasked with the proper survival experience. Securing water is one of the most important aspects of living through another day.
There are a couple locations you can look through:
Many players complain about the mechanics of gathering water. It is consumed even if you don’t play the game, one barrel a day. After all the reserves are exhausted, all the items that you have gathered are lost forever, yet the experience you’ve acquired is retained. This is intentional mechanism that the developers implemented to increase the feeling of anxiety and impending doom, even if you don’t actively engage with the production.
To increase your chances of survival, why not ask your friends for help? The game offers co-op experience, but if your potential partners are using consoles, tough luck, as sadly the port is not happening any time soon. However, even if you decide to be a loner, be careful as the game can’t be paused.
