The Xbox Partner Preview show brought us quite a surprise. During the even we saw the first short gameplay trailer of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, a full-fledged remake of the third installment of MGS.

The video comes from a very early version - pre-alpha. Despite this, in terms of graphics, the game already looks very good. Particularly noteworthy are such details as drops dripping from the character's clothes right after he gets out of the water, or dirt lingering on his body.

Individual animations, such as moving through the water, also look quite good. Close-ups of detailed models of animals, which were made with great care, add charm to the whole experience.

As far as gameplay is concerned, the trailer shows Naked Snake, in his own style, traversing successive areas of the jungle and eliminating his opponents "silently" - with a gun and knife in his hands.

Of course, the game will not lack the crawling option, known from the original, which will probably prove crucial in infiltrating hostile areas. In addition, would-be Big Boss will be able to lean out from behind cover, and will also prove proficient in climbing.

It is worth noting that on the occasion of the debut of the gameplay trailer in question it was confirmed that Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is being developed on Unreal Engine 5.

The game is heading for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The release date is still unknown.
