March will see the official launch of Mighty Doom, an... F2P shooter that is a colorful mobile spin-off of the Doom series.
We just learned the official release date for Mighty Doom - and it may stir up mixed feelings in many hardcore a Doom Slayer fan. This free-to-play shooter from Bethesda will debut on March 21 on Android and iOS mobile devices.
Below you'll see a trailer showcasing Mighty Doom. This way you can see if you like such a cartoonish visual style, in which we will play as Mini Slayer - a charming version of Doom Slayer based on the Gibbo figure collection.
Mighty Doom is a top-down shooter, in which you set out as the aforementioned Mini Slayer on a crusade against the all familiar demons. The game offers roguelite-style challenges, i.e. after a loss you will admittedly start from the beginning, but you can upgrade weapons and other equipment to face your opponents again with better odds. Here's a fragment from the description of Mighty Doom:
"Explore the original and brand new animated universe of Doom, an alternate version of the world of Doom, created based on the inspiration of the Doom Eternal collectible toys. Plenty of cartoonish violence and brutality await you in the endless war against Hell and its demons."
It is worth mentioning that w Mighty Doom can be played in soft-launch (i.e., a kind of early access) since as early as 2021.. Therefore, on the web you will find a lot of gameplay footage from the game.
