Gamers in Europe clearly liked Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. In the two weeks since its release, the game sold almost as well as CoD: Vanguard did after a year.

Although the above data is only about the European market, it is probably similar in other regions. Activision Blizzard recently boasted, that revenues from CoD: Modern Warfare 2 exceeded $1 billion within 10 days of its release. This made the game the fastest earning installment of the series. The previous record holder was Call of Duty: Black Ops II from 2012, which took 15 days to break that mark.
The game is also doing well on Steam, where it quickly set a new activity record for the series at 263,174 concurrent users. The previous record holder was Call of Duty: Black Ops III with 63,681 people playing simultaneously.
Recall that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is also available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. The game was released on October 28, this year.
