We learned the system requirements for Mortal Kombat 1 on PC. We must admit that they are relatively low (not counting 100 GB of disk space).
Yesterday we saw the official announcement of Mortal Kombat 1, and today we received the game's system requirements, along with the publication of its card on Steam. It follows from them that the next installment of the popular fighting game series will not need an exceptionally powerful computer (although it should be borne in mind that the specifications may change before the September release).
This situation is quite unique, given the current trend. Indeed, many upcoming productions have absurdly high system requirements. A great example of this is the not very glamorous The Lord of the Rings: Gollum, which to run at medium detail at 1080p resolution is expected to require a GeForce RTX 3060.
Mortal Kombat 1 will debut on September 19, this year. The game will hit PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
