Mortal Kombat 2 Found Its Kitana; She's an Actress From Popular Netflix Show

We recently reported on the Karl Urban's casting for the character of Johnny Cage. This is not the end of the list of new characters. Kitana, who will be portrayed by Adeline Rudolph, also joins the lineup.. The actress previously appeared in Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Rudolph has already officially joined the cast of the sequel to Mortal Kombat 2021. She will play Princess Kitana, the stepdaughter of the wicked Shao Kahn and a staunch defender of the Outworld. This is not the only fresh casting. A few days ago we learned, that the role of Kitana's faithful companion - Jade - will be played by Tati Gabrielle. In addition, due to the words of Shang Tsung, we may also see the return characters who died in the first part.

Mortal Kombat 2 will probably premiere in the second half of 2024. Work on the sequel is expected to begin in the next dozen days or so, as they were planned for June, and will last until September of this year.
