Mortal Shell The Virtuous Cycle DLC Announced
The team at Cold Symmetry announced The Virtuous Cycle, the first major expansion for last year's action RPG Mortal Shell.
Cold Symmetry and Playstack announced Mortal Shell The Virtuous Cycle, the first major expansion for the popular action RPG from 2020.
Unfortunately, the information made available by the devs is very limited. We know that the expansion is coming to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5. No details about the content or release date were given. The developers have limited themselves to stating that the DLC will launch soon. We hope that before the end of E3 2021 we will know more about the project.
However, it is worth noting the fact that the PC version of the add-on will launch simultaneously on Epic Games Store and Steam. This is important because the game is currently available only in the first of these stores. The release of Valve's website was announced for the summer, this year.
Mortal Shell was released on August 18, 2020 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. On release day the game left something to be desired in terms of technical refinement, but despite this it met with a warm reception. The PC version received an average score of 76% on Metacritic. The PS4 edition can boast the same result, and in the case of the Xbox One edition it is 75%.
The project also proved to be a commercial success. In March, this year, the devs reported that its sales exceeded half a million copies. Since then, the number has undoubtedly increased a lot, as a few months ago the game was released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
At the end it is worth adding that Mortal Shell The Virtuous Cycle was one of the titles listed on the unconfirmed list of the games that are to appear at E3 2021
