Name Your Favorite Games of the Year in The Game Awards Community Vote

Two weeks ago we learned the titles nominated for the upcoming The Game Awards 2023. The public has an indirect influence on who will win in each category. As announced, the organizers also decided to put the choice of favorite game entirely in the hands of the players, so since yesterday afternoon they can vote in the Players Voice category.

The Game Awards 2023: Players Voice has launched!

Let's point out that the votes cast by the public in the main categories contribute only 10% of the final verdict. The rest of the evaluation is made up of indications from experts sitting on the jury.

However, in the Players Voice category, it is the community of players alone that decides which game deserved the greatest recognition. Voting began on November 27 at 10 a.m. PST and consists of three rounds.

1. Round 1 - at this stage, players choose their top ten from among 30 proposed titles (fewer games can be indicated). The ten most frequently selected games will move on to the next round. Voting in Round 1 will last until November 30 at 6 p.m. PST.
2. Round 2 - at this stage we will indicate only five favorite games. The same number of titles will be in the third and final round. Voting in Round 2 will begin on November 30 at 9:00 a.m. and will last until December 3 at 9:00 p.m.
3. Round 3 - the final phase of voting, in which players must choose on only one game from the final five. The one with the most votes will be announced as the winner in the Players Vioce category at The Game Awards 2023 ceremony. The final voting will begin on December 4 at 9:00 a.m. and will end on December 8 at 9:00 p.m.

Among the 30 games included in candidate list, there is no shortage of this year's biggest hits - present, for example, is Alan Wake 2, Baldur's Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty or Hogwarts Legacy.

The Game Awrads 2023 gala will take place on December 8. The broadcast will start at 10:30 a.m. and we will keep you updated with the most important information about game announcements and winners of each category.

Additional security and duration of The Game Awards 2023

Geoff Keighley, the originator and host of The Game Awards, mentioned recently additional security for the event. The previous year, during the gala, the stage was invaded by an unauthorized person, and during this summer's gamescom, Keighley (also running the event) was surrounded by two other attendees demanding news of GTA VI. Not surprisingly, then, the organizers decided to beef up security.

In addition, Keighley revealed that The Game Awards will last about as long as last year's edition, i.e. about three hours. The number of new game announcements is also expected to be similar, and these are shaping up to be extremely electrifying.

It is likely that during the event we will see a new trailer of Death Stranding 2. We may also have a surprise announcement of a standalone DLC for God of War: Ragnarok, about which there are rumors.

However, most people are certainly looking forward to the first mentions of GTA VI. Rockstar has announced the presentation of a trailer in early December and while the company generally makes game announcements on its own terms, crowning TGA 2023 with the trailer for the new installment of the series would be a special treat.
