New Update for Bannerlord Will Introduce Peasant Rebellions and More

Developers responsible for new content in Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord are at it again. The latest update introduces, among other things, completely mechanic, enabling peasants to start a rebellion.

The latest updated, number 6, for Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord introduces a variety of options. In addition to patches, new mechanics will be added to enhance the gameplay, including rebels units.

Rebellions of unhappy peasantry

In the next installment of TaleWorlds' game, a revolt may break out in our fiefs. What could cause it? In a nutshell, low satisfaction of the villagers. It can drop for a variety of reasons - our subjects may have just escaped from captivity without receiving any help, become angry at the poor management of the land they inhabit or even cultural differences with the settlement's owner. In case of low morale of inhabitants, they start to form armed units, and the more unhappy the peasants, the greater the danger.

Eventually, if a rebellion is not suppressed by the player, the angry peasantry will take aggressive action and take over the village, thus establishing their own clan. Such an oversight can have a huge impact on further gameplay, as other clans, especially those that have something against our interests, can recognize the newly formed clan as legal, and this will enable it to establish diplomatic relations with other kingdoms.

Other improvements and mechanics

Of course, fixes and rebellion mechanics are not everything. The devs at TaleWorlds have also introduced several small expansions, such as the ability to grant vassals a fief in order to improve relations with clans or increase the loyalty of the nobility. However, by playing as a vassal of a kingdom, we can relinquish our lands, and these will return under the aegis of the ruler so that he can distribute them to other subjects.

From other minor news - next to the window with the name of the village there will appear information icons to help us determine the events or problems taking place in the village or city. This is certainly an increase in convenience, as we were previously forced to enter the village to get news of this kind, often traversing half the kingdom. In addition, the new campaign setting will enable us to turn off the birth and death system to prevent the characters from aging or reproducing. However, this choice will be made at the beginning of the adventure and will not be changed until the end of the playthrough.

Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord is available on PC in early access.
