New Update for CS:GO Introduces Long-awaited Changes

The latest update for Counter-Stirke: Global Offensive introduces some important changes to the game that have long been awaited by the players. Additionally, the balance of one of the weapons has been improved and several maps have been modified.

UPDATE IN A NUTSHELL:
  • New Warmup mode where players fight 1v1;
  • Ability to view and import other players' crosshairs has been introduced;
  • Unintentional buff of the Deagle pistol has been repaired;
  • Changes on the maps, biggest on Vertigo and Train.

Yesterday, Counter-Stirke: Global Offensive received a major update, introducing some useful (and long-awaited) features. There have also been changes to selected maps and the balance of one of the weapons.

The update has introduced a new pre-match Warmup mode. From now on, instead of the standard "waiting room" (which has always been complained about by players), before all players join the game we will be able to face others in 1v1 skirmishes. For now the developers are testing this feature, so it is only available in Wingman mode on Vertigo and Train maps. If there are no major problems, it will most likely be used in other game modes.

Another new feature in CS:GO is the ability to view and import other players' crosshairs in observer mode . Interestingly, this feature (or rather its preview for the time being) is available from the very beginning in Valorant. CS players have been asking for it since time immemorial, and Valve has decided to add it only now, when a rival shooter has appeared on the market. The preview option must be enabled in the game settings in the "Game - Crosshairs" tab.

It's worth mentioning that the Deagle pistol was also significantly changed after it was buffed just a week ago, which made it extremely accurate when jumping. Everything seems to indicate that this change was not entirely intentional and was quickly repaired. From now on, hitting someone mid-jump will border on a miracle, but the accuracy of the gun was improved just after landing.

The developers have also decided to make changes to some maps. The most significant ones appeared on Vertigo and Train. On the former, B site was changed (among others, by getting rid of the "window" on mid). On the latter, e.g. the location of pigeons, which revealed possible enemy location, was changed and the error with climbing the ladder was corrected. The full list of changes in the latest CS:GO update can be found at this address.
