NHL 24 Release Date and First Gameplay Trailer

Electronic Arts has revealed details aboutNHL 24, this year's installment of the most popular hockey-themed game series. The first gameplay trailer was also shown.

1. The game is scheduled for release on October 6, 2023.
2. The title is headed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S consoles.. Unfortunately, PC gamers won't be getting it.
3. Those who pre-order the X-Factor Edition will start the game three days earlier and will receive the so-called "Squad building HUT Pack of their choice," providing an easier start when creating a dream team in Ultimate Team mode.

What will NHL 24 offer?

The devs promise many changes and new features.

1. NHL 24 will offer Exhaust Engine technology, which will thoroughly refresh gameplay. Extended offensive actions and time spent in the offensive zone will be rewarded, which is expected to give the game more authenticity.
2. Improved physics and animations are expected to provide greater control over players and a more realistic effect of their interactions on the ice.
3. The devs also promise new control options. E.g. it will be possible to fake the intention of a pass to confuse the opponent.
4. NHL 24 will offer a cross-play option enabling owners of different hardware belonging to the same generation to play together in multiplayer. So skirmishes between PS4 versus XONE or PS5 versus XSX will be possible.
