Nvidia's CEO Jensen Huang is envisioning a future where artificial intelligence will play a crucial role. The new technology will increase productivity to previously unknown levels, which should help the general public. However, there will be casualties, which are certain jobs. Huang stated that we will simply lose some of them (via CNN).

AI affects the lives of everyone

Thanks to artificial intelligence, Nvidia has become one of the most valuable companies in the world. Jensen Huang is benefiting from this, as there were talks last year that he could buy Intel and still have money left. According to the head of the corporation, further development of AI will affect each of us, as shown by studies suggesting that 92 million jobs will disappear in the United States alone.

Everybody’s jobs will be affected. Some jobs will be lost. Many jobs will be created and what I hope is that the productivity gains that we see in all the industries will lift society.

Jensen Huang revealed that at Nvidia, engineers use artificial intelligence every day, and it has become a must-have tool. However, there is no certainty whether AI actually increases the efficiency and productivity of employees (see Futurism).

Other studies, conducted back in 2024, showed that among 2500 surveyed employees, 77% did not feel any benefits. Instead, their productivity decreased and the amount of work increased even more. Less than 40% of the people surveyed said that the reason was the mistakes made by artificial intelligence, and 47% of people don't know how to achieve increased productivity.

For now, some employees are feeling the negative effects of AI development. In the King studio, AI will replace the laid-off workers, and some people fall into psychosis from interacting with chatbots. AI, however, will stay with us, and according to Gabe Newell, people who understand new technology may gain an advantage over experienced programmers.

On the flip side, Jensen Huang believes in something else. In the same conversation with CNN, he stated that thanks to AI, research on drugs and diseases will take less time. Virtual assistants and scientists will appear, and this will happen within a maximum of five years from now.
