Oblivion Coming to Elder Scrolls Online

Prepare to battle the jaws of oblivion. The latest ESO expansion will reopen the Oblivion Gates across Tamriel.

During this year's The Game Awards, we were presented many upcoming productions, but also some well-known and reputable titles appeared at the gala. In the case of The Elder Scrolls Online, we found out that the almost 12 month long journey through Skyrim will soon come to an end. This will be due to a new expansion. New, but remaining in familiar areas. Gates of Oblivion is coming January 21, 2021.

It is not clear from the trailer whether we will be visiting the capital of Tamriel and its surroundings in the course of the events, as in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. We can be almost certain, however, that by performing the tasks from the main storyline, we will cross the threshold of the title gates and face the demons from Oblivion, the Deadra, and perhaps even one of the daedric princes - Mehrunes Dagon, who seems to be an ideal candidate for the antagonist of the upcoming expansion.

In connection with the annual expansion of game world - as with previous major add-ons - Gates of Oblivion is likely to add a completely new and extensive location, Oblivion.

It's worth noting that on the day of Gates of Oblivion's launch, January 21, there will be a live broadcast on Bethesda's Twitch, introducing the latest expansion.
