Oxenfree 2 Lost Signals Release Date Leaked

According to a leak from the PlayStation database, Oxenfree 2: Lost Signals will be released as early as the first quarter of next year.

In two weeks (on January 15 to be specific) it will be six years since the launch of the unusual adventure game Oxenfree - praised by players and critics alike for an interesting dialogue system, unusual atmosphere and unique visual style. No wonder that this April the devs announced its sequel, subtitled Lost Signals.

Although the official release date for the sequel has still not been revealed, PlayStation Game Size announced on Twitter - referring to information available in the PlayStation database - that the game could come out as early as February 8, next year. However, there is a high probability that this date is just a placeholder. Therefore, it is better to approach it with caution.

It is also worth mentioning that in September this year reports began to appear on strange radio signals in the original Oxenfree. As it turned out, they are related to the so-called Parentage - the main antagonists of the sequel. Oxenfree has become famous for secrets with elements of ARG (alternate reality game) scattered across the game. They forced players to use external tools (such as websites), make phone calls or go to real locations.

First installment of Oxenfree was given away on Epic Games Store and GOG in the past. If you have it in your collection and you haven't played it yet, I highly recommend catching up.

Interestingly, studio Night School Studio (the game's devs) was acquired by Netflix in September, this year. It was confirmed then that video games on the said platform will be available as part of a standard subscription, without additional fees. Oxenfree II: Lost Signals will be available on PC, PS5, PS4 and Nintendo Switch next year.

Night School Studio has also developed the warmly received Afterparty, which features visual style and gameplay very similar to Oxenfree. In anticipation of Lost Signals, it's worth to give this game a chance as well.
