Pirate Gold in Jagged Alliance 3 (JA3) Walkthrough

In the nation of Grand Chien, the elected President has been taken hostage, leading to a fierce battle for control as the powerful paramilitary force known as "The Legion" rises. Your main task in Jagged Alliance 3 is to help him and bring back peace to the land. However, there are many quests along the way, which you may complete. One of them is Pirate Gold. We will talk about it.

JA3 - Pirate Gold Walkthrough

Beginning of the quest

To start this quest, you have to talk with Father Tooker in Fleatown (H8). He will tell you about a ghost which haunts his church. To complete this quest you have to go to I10. You will find there a group of Legion soldiers. You have to defeat them (obviously). It is a good idea to sneak near them and throw an explosive in the middle of them.

Meeting with a restless spirit

When you finish them off, you should interact with the spot marked above. It will unlock Ambush Spots on the map (press “o” to see them). They are at every entrance to the sector. You have to send to each of them at least 1 merc. When you do that, you will be attacked by a “restless spirit” (North entrance). Kill him and loot his body. You will find a map.

Talking to the Priest

Go back to the church, you will have now two options, you can talk to Father Tooker or try to take a treasure. We will talk about conversation first, as we recommend this order. During the chat with the priest you can pick:

1. Hidden treasure – 20 Loyalty with Fleatown and some EXP. You will block a possibility to interact with the statue. Your mercs will like it.
2. No idea – 5 Loyalty with Fleatown and you will be able to interact with a statue presented below.

Getting the treasure

If you did not talk to Father Tooker or just did not tell him the truth, you can interact with the statue presented above. You will start another conversation with a priest.

1. We’re getting evidence – it is possible to pick this option if one of your companions have Scoundrel perk (Fox for example). In this case you will be able to take treasure (Artifact) without negative consequences.
2. It’s ours now – you will loose 5 Loyalty with Fleatown and you mercs will not like that.
3. Here, it’s yours – You will give the treasure to Father Tooker and get 15 Loyalty with Fleatown. Your mercs will like it.
