The third main installment in an iconic series of turn-based strategy games. Jagged Alliance 3 is set in a fictional nation of Grand Chien, where a squad of mercenaries must find the missing president and restore order.
Jagged Alliance 3 is the third main installment in an iconic series of turn-based strategies originating from 1995. It was developed by Haemimont Games, known for Tropico, Victor Vran and Survivng Mars, and published by THQ Nordic, the owners of the franchise.
It's an entirely new game unrelated to other games of the same name created by other teams.
Jagged Alliance 3 is set in the fictional nation of Grand Chien. After its president's mysterious disappearance, the country was taken over by Legion, a powerful paramilitary organization. The former leader's family, however, has not given up and hires the mercenaries of the Adonis corporation to find the president and restore Grand Chien to how it once was. It's up to us how the country's future unfolds.
Jagged Alliance 3 is a top-down game. Players command squads of soldiers chosen from a large roster. Each mercenary has a unique personality, backstory, strengths, weaknesses and skills. They include returning characters from previous installments and some entirely new ones.
The game is set in a vast world, featuring many story quests and side missions. These let us earn money and gradually take over more territory, gaining the respect of the locals who become more willing to join our cause.
There are many enemies we'll need to face to achieve our goals. Combat is turn-based, requiring terrain recon, good positioning of squad members and skillful use of their abilities. Over time our soldiers grow in might, gaining better equipment and weapons, unlocking various perks granting them an upper hand over the enemies.
Jagged Alliance 3 supports singleplayer and co-op.
Jagged Alliance 3 features decent visuals. The varied, detailed locations may be especially appealing.
