Pokemon Violet and Scarlet With Release Date and New Trailer

An open world that enables the players to explore together without boundaries, a release date and a co-op mode - these and more are featured in the new trailer of Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.

The Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet dulogy - the first 9th-gen Pokemon games - received a second trailer. The video introduces us to a pair of professors (one for each version of the game), creatures and a handful of other highlights, including the release date of both titles: November 18. You can watch the footage below.

Pokemon: past and future

After UK vibes and double return to the old days in the eighth generation, the new region will bet on the themes of the past and the future. This can be seen in the appearance of the newly revealed legendary creatures, but also - as fans point out - in the names of the forementioned professors: Turo (probably from the word futuro, which in Spanish means future) and Sada (pasada means passing).

If this seems to be an exaggeration, a glance at the names of both legendaries will dispel all doubts. The pokemon that looks like a tribal beast is called Koraidon (from the Japanese korai, which can be translated as "ancient"). Its futuristic rival (?) is called Miraidon (jap. mirai - future). Both can be seen on the covers of Pokemon Scarlet / Violet.

Open world and co-op

Nintendo has highlighted also the fact that Pokemon Scarlet / Violet are the first installments of the main series with an open world, as well as a co-op mode for four people. This time, the players will not have to visit clearly separated locations in a predetermined order. The game world is to constitute a single whole without artificial boundaries.

As for the multiplayer mode, in addition to the standard fights, exchange of creatures, etc. Ninth generation will enable us to explore the Pokemon world together with friends. Co-op may not be available only over the Internet. On Nintendo's official website we see information about both playing over the network, as well as in local mode ("wireless connection"). However, it is worth bearing in mind that the latter option may only apply to the system of exchanges and battles with other players.

The internet has already found its favorite.

Of course, the new generation of Pokémon will also bring with it more creatures (such as the pig-like Lechonk, which has apparently already won the hearts of fans.), as well as a reshuffling of the attacks available in species known from previous games. Perhaps we will also see some new mechanics.

New Pokemon games will debut on November 18, only on the Nintendo Switch console. So get ready for the next months full of gradually revealed information (and also leaks) about the ninth generation of "pocket monsters".
