Polish Survival Game About The Kursk Submarine Disaster Revealed

Jujubee, a development studio from Katowice, has just announced their new project – KURSK. Unlike the developers’ previous productions, their newest game will be released on PC, Mac, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Jujubee, an independent studio from Katowice, is known mainly from the productions released on mobile platforms. However, it seems that the developers decided that they want to try their hands in a much larger undertaking. Representatives of the studio announced KURSK – a game that is being developed for PC, Mac, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. There is not a lot of information about the project – the only thing we know is that KURSK will be an adventure game with “espionage storyline” and “elements of dread”, and we will play the game in the first-person perspective. The game will concentrate on the eponymous Russian submarine KURSK which sunk in the Barents Sea in August 2000.

In KURSK players will investigate the mystery that surrounds the catastrophe involving the eponymous Russian submarine.

In the press release, Michal Stepien – the chairman of the board of Jujubee – highlighted that the submarine’s catastrophe still arouses a lot of controversy. We can expect that the player’s task will be to solve the mystery, and at the same time reveal the conspiracy connected with it. We might expect that more details will be revelaed during this year’s Digital Dragons – an event taking place in Cracow on the 21st and 22nd of May.

KURSK will be released initially on PC and Mac by the end of 2016. The console release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will take place later, but the date has not yet been specified.

Jujubee is an independent development team from Katowice that was created by the former employees of CD Projekt RED, Traveller’s Tales and Infinite Dreams. For the time being, the team focused on mobile productions – the developers have already created two installments of Flashout for smartphones and tablets. KURSK will be their debut on PC and the new generation of consoles.
