Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 is here… but not for all. The game was released on PC. Console owners have to wait a little bit longer. Of course, they are getting impatient and asking when the new chapter will be available on their devices. Let’s talk about it.
Update: Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 was released on all consoles simultaneously on June 25, 2025.
Update: As of today, February 18, developers did not revealed when we can expect Chapter 4. More about when to expect the game, you can read below. We have to be patient.
Sadly, except from the knowledge that Chapter 4 should be released on consoles (as the previous chapters were), we don’t have any exact dates, yet. However, let’s look at the past schedule to analyze the situation.
As you can see from the above, PlayStation and Xbox players had a chance to play Chapter 3 and 4 at the same time. It is likely that the situation will repeat itself. However, consoles from Sony had to wait 8 months for their chapters, while Microsoft devices only 2. What does it mean? Probably developers worked simultaneously on both versions, even without official Xbox release, and planned to launch them at the same time from the beginning. The good thing is that this time, we should not have to wait as long for Chapter 4. Simply because there is only 1 part to port. So, the 8-months schedule is unlikely.
On the other hand, Nintendo Switch, while this console was the first to get the port, received its chapters after PlayStation and Xbox. Of course, we should take into consideration that the update was delayed by the Microsoft port, however, it’s difficult to say whether Switch users will get Chapter 4 with other platforms.
While the wait should be shorter this time, we should still expect a delay of a couple of months. Probably developers are looking for potential bugs right now, to polish the game even further. Meantime, you can read our article to revise Chapter 3 ending or learn more about the antagonist.
