During this year's Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft showed new footage from the recently announced Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. The game lived to see an atmospheric trailer and a gameplay presentation.
The title is heading for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch, and it's scheduled for release on January 18, 2024..
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will take us to ancient Persia in a mythological version.
- The main character will be one of the so-called "Immortals," or elite warriors. When the Prince of Persia is kidnapped, his task will be to rescue the heir to the throne at any cost.
- The gameplay will be a kind of return to the brand's roots; it will involve exploration, avoiding traps and hazards, solving puzzles and battling a variety of enemies - and all of this in a side-scrolling view.
- The arcade combat system allows for a variety of attacks and combos. Acrobatics and timing control will be key to gameplay.
- Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will offer attractive 2.5D graphics, maintained in a slightly cartoonish style.
