Fortnite may has just told us when we can expect the launch of Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Additionally, there have been rumors about the price of these consoles.

It is possible that we just got to know the launch dates and prices of next-gen consoles. On the official blog of Fortnite there was an announcement of The Last Laugh Bundle, introducing costumes and characters associated with the DC Comics universe. The bundle is due to be released on November 17 this year - as the creators put it - "just in time for the PS5 and Xbox Series X launch". This suggests that Sony and Microsoft's next-gens will be released on this day or a little earlier.
A more detailed leak was provided by analyst Robert Serrano. According to him, Xbox Series S (Microsoft's weaker next-gen model) will be released on November 5 and will cost $299, and Xbox Series X will debut the day after and will be $200 more expensive. PlayStation 5 will hit the stores on November 13. The standard version will be priced at $499 and the Digital Edition (without optical drive) will be $100 cheaper. European prices are to be the same, except in Euros, not US dollars.
Console: | Launch date: | Price in USA: | Price in Europe: |
Xbox Series S | November 5 2020. | $299 | EUR 299 |
Xbox Series X | November 6, 2020. | $499 | EUR 499 |
PlayStation 5 | November 13, 2020. | $499 | EUR 499 |
PlayStation 5 Digital Edition | November 13, 2020. | $399 | EUR 399 |
It should be mentioned that in the first news, Robert Serrano quoted the price of the Xbox Series S as 399 dollars/euro, but then corrected it to $299.
Of course, until the release dates and prices are officially revealed, all this information should be treated as unconfirmed rumor. However, it is worth remembering that earlier Microsoft announced that the Xbox Series X will debut in November this year. Sony hasn't provided any dates yet, but it's doubtful that the PS5 will be released much later than its competitors.
