Red Alert 2 With Extra Modes and Better Multiplayer Thanks to New Version of New Horizons

New Horizons, one of the most important mods for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 - Yuri's Revenge has received an update that introduces a number of newsworthy features.

A new version of the fan project has been released New Horizons, which is one of the most popular mods for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 - Yuri's Revenge.

The modification thoroughly reworks many elements of the game, so as to increase the realism of the gameplay, but at the same time maintain the specific style of Red Alert 2. To this end, the balancing - both of the army and the economy - has been changed, and quite a few new units have been introduced. A new campaign has also been added, as well as a ton of standalone maps, both for solo gameplay and multiplayer clashes.

The new version of the mod is numbered 12B-3, and the most important change is the implementation of CNCNet, a fan-made system that restores fully functional multiplayer to Westwood's old RPG.

Along with this novelty, additional gameplay modes in the form of Mechanized Infantry and Infantry Divisions have also been made available, enabling the players to configure exactly what technologies will be available to the competing sides. Several new maps have also been added, wall-building mechanisms have been improved, and artificial intelligence enhancements have been made so that AI strategies are better suited to the specific modes we play in.
